Sander Sides Wrist Tattoos 2.0 !! original designs

ssoooo @astro-flowers spurred me on to create Remus’ Tattoo design~ ssoo i thought I would update everyone else too! (I put them in the order of the rainbow!)

Roman- His emblem of a shield with a sun Deceit- His emblem of a two headed snake… his design kinda broke the one-line rule… I had to add little snek tongues or it wouldn’t feel right! Remus- His emblem of a tentacle sword (shown on Thomas’ Livestream) Patton- still a heart, but REVISED! I added a little bubble and redrew the heart to look like two arms giving a hug (or two hands holding a heart, either way) Logan- His v serious tie, but REVISED! I had added a little detail, partly to show the diagonal design of his tie, but maybe to also demonstrate his ability to ‘fill in the blanks’ and be the missing piece of a conversation. Virgil- His emblem of a storm cloud with a lightning bolt.

In this revision, I made the designs go up the arm instead of across the wrist, thought it would be cooler to show how each side is one of a whole… an entirely single line, slightly influenced to be a different shape and purpose.  for those that want to get a tattoo or just doodle on your arm (lol, be safe): feel free to organize them as you please! in any order or orientation

Ranting About Sanders Sides Again Because I Can

The fact that Roman and Virgil are currently the two sides with the most stable relationship out of the whole cast right now is just, so sweet to me.

Technically you could make a case for Janus and Remus's relationship or Janus and Patton's relationship, but Janus and Remus haven't actually interacted in a canon episode just yet, and Janus and Patton's relationship is just really getting started, so I'm not counting either of those just yet.

Now, Roman and Virgil. We know them, we love them, and I think all of us know that their relationship initially started off pretty rocky. For pretty much all of Season 1 they didn't exactly get along at all. But since then, they've gotten to the point where they're genuinely really good friends, (I'd personally even call them best friends!) and they've still got their usual banter, but at this point it's become their thing. They're not really Roman and Virgil without it!

The fact that Roman's become so much more closed off towards everyone else, but is still happily bantering with Virgil really just goes to show how much he trusts him. And it makes sense! Virgil's proven to him that he actually cares about him (see FWSA for reference) and in turn that's caused Roman to become much more comfortable around him! I mean, just look at how Roman talks about him in the 5th Anniversary Episode compared to when he's talking about the others!!

Whether you consider their relationship to be currently the most stable in the series right now or not, you have to admit that Roman's relationship with Virgil is most definitely his own most stable one out of everyone right now. Including Thomas!

Honestly, if we don't get to see Roman and Virgil being freaking best friends in the season finale, you will not hear the end of it from me. There will be many a grumpy rant coming from my end.

I'm very excited to see how their relationship develops from here, both with how they're gonna be responding to Janus's acceptance, and with their interactions with just each other on their own. It'll be nice! And I'm very excited to see how it all plays out! :)

Also the Sanders Sides season finale cannot come soon enough, I am absolutely craving more content and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

New headcanon alert:

Janus is always, at least, a little cold even on normal days because of his snake half. That's not the new part. The new part is if he gets too cold, he gets tired. And if he gets too tired, he takes a little nap until he warms up again. While Janus is in his nap-state, Thomas can’t lie. Virgil knows this. Remus kinda knows this. No one else knows this.

How do you think Markiplier's egos and Sanders Sides would interact with one another?

I am so glad you asked! (This is gonna be long)

For context, I imagine the reason they all met was some time-warp space fuckery, and right now the sides only chance at survival is kinda hanging out with the egos until something can get sorted.

As a whole, everything is relatively peaceful. Is there Drama? Of course. But nothing too terrible. Maybe a physical altercation on a bad day, but nothing that would get the sides thrown out.

Let's get the obvious out of the way: Remus and Wilford would hang out. Remus would be fascinated by how off the walls Wilford could get and Wilford wouldn’t think twice about Remus’s insane sentinces. He’s like that Marge meme of ‘I just think he’s neat!’ Remus doesn’t really care about the others, but he loves asking Google fucked-up questions because he’ll just answer. No hesitation. And Remus thinks that's hilarious. Also him and Heehoo have to be kept in separate rooms after the incident.

Patton and Stan would be IMMEDIATE FRIENDS. I’m talking first day of knowing each other, Patton has already made friendship bracelets, Stan makes sure Patton is taking care of himself, and they have a ‘dad club’ that consists of only them two. And they match! They have basically adopted the others as their own, even Patton sometimes able to help Dark. The only person he hasn’t ‘officially’ adopted is Yancy. Patton found out Yancy was a self-made orphan and decided ‘he’s just, like, a friend’ because Patton values his life. (But if we're getting into uncanon egos, Patton basically adopted Erek Derekson and Hates Derek Derekson. Like I fully believe if you put this two face-to-face, they would fight. Patton deserves to go ape-shit as a treat :) )

Logan doesn’t necessarily like Google, but out of all the others, he tolerates Google the most. They pretty much work together to try and get things figured out for everyone, and their relationship is strictly work colleagues. Until Logan found out Google also really likes space. Now he’s intrigued. Another ego that intrigues him are The Jims. Its because he’s heard of a side splitting, but not infinitely splitting. Now he’s begun keeping a tiny notebook on everything he’s learned about the others.

Roman is the most active when it comes to hanging out with the other egos. Him and Yancy definitely bond over their love of musicals and their (chosen) family. For Illinois, however, I feel like they’re either partners or rivals, no in-between. If they’re partners, total bond over their love of adventure and constant compliments. If rivals, very catty behavior from both of them about how self-absorbed the other is. Roman and Dark have a mutual hatred for each other. Roman thinks Dark is the Villain while Dark hates any idea of a hero after Actor. Also Roman found out Dark was twins that re-merged and gained a new fear. And finally, Actor manipulates the shit out of Roman, constantly planting ideas of how similar they are and talking about how everyone else abandoned them so he should stay vigilant.

Janus probably talks to the others the least, keeping his distance and watching from afar. However, he does enjoy learning about the others through the sides that talk to him. Whether it's frustrations or compliments, he takes a mental note of it all. The only person he doesn’t know about at all is Actor, and Roman would love to keep it that way. Janus also loves knocking the more egotistical egos down a peg with off-handed comments. Luckily, that hasn't wound up in anything bad. And while he does do this, he would protect them if it came down to it. While he doesn’t like them, others do. And they all have a use.

Virgil, surprisingly enough, found his way near Dark. I think Dark realizes Virgil’s ‘potential’ and keeps him nearby because if anyone were to stop Virgil, it would be Dark. And if anyone were to help Dark, it would be Virgil. (You know Virgil’s voice thing when he gets anxious? Yeah, I’m gonna be the first to assume it doesn’t stop there.) Virgil over time realizes Dark is a lot like Logan and Janus, meaning he's keeps to himself a lot and attempts to hide his emotions a lot. But because Virgil is near Dark, he’s gotten to know all the others (as well as Dark) very well. Virgil nearly sprinted towards Logan once he found out Heehoo had a scientific name. Also Virgil was the first Side to find out about Dark and Wilford’s Past, which was shocking for him because some of the other egos don’t know his past.

So that's my head canons, feel free to tell me your own, and I hope you have a good day!

What if Logan was actually saying ‘bullshit’ instead of ‘falsehood,’ but it came out falsehood because of the ever-present censor over the show. Because let's be honest, Remus wouldn’t change out the word ‘fuck’ for ‘Fuchsia.’

My Sander Sides Enlightment

You know what’s always kinda bothered me? Those mean takes on the other sides. Like ‘Janus is manipulating Patton and isn’t actually trying to be friends with him,’ ‘Patton has too much moral superiority,’ ‘Roman never learns,’ So on and so forth. There is something bad to say about all the sides. No hate to anyone who's made one, you are valid and probably right in your own way. I think the only reason they bother me so much is because you can easily say the opposite. The most common phrase being ‘Nobody listens to ____’

“Nobody listens to Patton! He was trying to show the others that Virgil was good all along and only when Virgil was gone did they listen.”

“Nobody listens to Logan! He gets ignored constantly and he’s getting mad because of it.”

“Nobody listens to Roman! Every time he comes up with a solution, he gets shut down only to get blamed for not coming up with a solution.”

“Nobody listens to Virgil! He only gets listened to when he forces Thomas to hear him, and he doesn’t like doing that.”

“Nobody listens to Janus! Even when he has good ideas and arguments, they get pushed to the side because he is a dark side.”

“Nobody listens to Remus! That was the entire point of an episode. And all he wants is to be listened to, it doesn’t matter who.”

And all of these are valid points. But at some point, you have to wonder who’s not listening the most. Which is how I think the criticism posts of the characters came to be in the first place. But I don’t think any of them are to blame. Even when this new side gets revealed, it won’t be his fault either. The fault isn’t on Roman, or Logan, or Janus, or any of them.

It's on Thomas.

And of course I don’t mean ‘Writer Thomas,’ I mean ‘Character Thomas.’ Throughout the series, Thomas has always held himself high. You can’t be perfect, but you can try to be. And every time a situation comes up, he doubts himself, wondering if he’s even any good at all.

And in comes the sides, telling him that he can’t be bad and here's why. In fact, Thomas won’t let himself be bad at anything. Can’t be a bad worker, can’t be a bad actor or singer, and certainly can’t be a bad friend. Even in situations where he wouldn’t even be those things, he can’t even let himself risk it.

And so, the sides follow suit.

Logan becomes the perfect person for knowledge and learning, never letting himself be anything less than right all the time.

Roman strives to be perfect physically and materialistically, coming up with creative ideas that help Thomas move up in the world or, at the very least, make himself feel better.

Patton is the perfectly moral person. Make sure everyone is alright, help whenever and wherever you can, and always keep a smile on. Wouldn’t want anyone worrying for you, right? That wouldn’t be good.

Virgil is the perfect alarm system. Even false alarms are taken with the utmost seriousness. Just as long as no one else knows your anxious.

Janus is a deceiver. And Thomas lies often. So he needs to be the best at putting on a face and making sure nothing goes off without a hitch. Wouldn’t want people catching him in a lie. He needs to be the perfect liar.

And then there's Remus. The only one who tries not to be perfect. But that idea terrifies the others so much, Remus is left to pick up all of the imperfection slack. Maybe that's why Remus was offended when he was called ‘Scary.’

Trying to be so many perfect things all at once, you’re going to but heads with all of the different aspects of yourself. You're going to not listen. You're going to ignore. And in some cases, your perfectionism is going to make you look like the bad guy. And as someone with perfectionism, I relate a little too hard.

HEAR ME OUT. Who destroyed Roman in a rap battle? Logan. Who doesn’t show much emotion besides rage and passion (for Crofters)? Logan. WHO PUTS UP A FRONT TO NOT BE EMOTIONALLY HURT? PROBABLY LOGAN. Let him be a Ukrainian bad boy.

The most romantic boy in town… duh. Also, poem writing? The desire for a dramatic life? Gay? It’s all coming together.

Headcanons

Remus and Roman fight. A lot. But not about anything serious (usually,) but things like the best pop-tart flavor or could they what if imaginary scenarios. It gets heated in the funny way. When this happens, the other sides say ‘the girls are fighting.’

Logan is the only person to own multiple, metal, labeled rulers

When Patton gets very invested in a person and is convinced they could do no wrong, their glasses are tinted pink.

Au ideas

Roman switches place with Roman and confuses the fuck out of everyone. Yep, I spelt Roman twice. Somehow, SS!Roman and RwR!Roman switch universes which confuses the fuck out of everyone. Yungblood is very aware that something is wrong while Virgil (at first) thinks Roman is playing some sort if weird trick on him. While RwR! Roman is trying to come to terms with being stuck in a universe where six different people look exactly like him and is unsure of how real he is, SS!Roman is going on an epic adventure, hopefully on how to get back to his world (yungblood regrets wanting him to sing)

I’m going to call this one “the hollow au.” Long story short, Thomas no longer has access to his sides or vice versa. A group of Thomas’s friends come over to find him in a weird, dazed state. Like autopilot but... Worse. Like he’s not entirely there. His friends go around the house to try and find something to inspire him or get him back to his old self. One of the friends go into the front yard and find this crystal. When they pick it up, they reveal Patton sitting in the grass hold in his knees and hiding his face. The person gets Patton’s attention, Patton rushes to check on Thomas, yadda yadda yadda, bit of expedition later and now these group of friends have to find the different parts of Thomas and basically put him back together. That's all

Headcannons

When Patton gets mad, he stomps on the ground like a rabbit. This has given him the nickname ‘Thumper’ by Roman and ‘Stomper’ by Janus.

Janus can't smell, at least not normally. Janus has licked a flower before.

Remus doesn’t actually like the taste of anything he eats, but he powers through it because he knows Thomas doesn't either.

Virgil can sometimes be tricked into thinking he has purple eyeshadow, which will in turn make him embarrassed and give him purple eyeshadow.

Roman has one of those mirrors that's covered in sticky notes telling him how great he is. Most of them were written by him, but some we're written by Patton. One was written by Virgil.

Logan has a mysterious hole in his wall that he covers with a Star Trek poster. How that hole got there is unknown.

Au ideas

Virgil, but he’s based on fight instead of flight. He’s punk instead of emo, he’s got red on him instead of purple, he’s definitely more willing to throw hands, and the flirting with social anxiety video goes WAY DIFFERENT (Going up and talking to him? No problem. Not insulting him? That's the new issue.)

Normal Sander Sides, but everyone tolerates each other a little more. Virgil realizes Janus is annoying, but also the main reason why people lie is fear. Patton, after every severe disagreement, makes each of the sides something to eat because he just wants them to know they're loved despite the disagreement. Remus will throw earbuds at Patton when he’s about to say something SUPER heinous. Logan and Janus have conversations over books. Roman will, periodically, write a note apologizing to some of the sides if need be. Sometimes all of the dark sides bother Thomas at once because it's funny. They still fight and argue over things, but the only real issue between them is Roman being mad at Remus because he keeps eating bathroom supplies, which wouldn’t be a problem if THEY WEREN’T MY BATHROOM SUPPLIES YOU DICK

Everybody bear with me here but,

Sanders Sides Cowboy Au

Just, they're all cowboys with the hats and boots and nothing else has changed, they all talk with a southern accent and you'd occasionally see a cow running in the background.

Sanders Sides as Alice of Human Sacrifices.

Based off of listening to the song, I have determined that the sides can represent each of them, with the exception of one extra in one of the categories.

The first Alice. This one I feel like everyone thinks is Virgil or Janus, but personally I believe it would be Remus. I know everyone puts him and Roman as the twins, but Virgil being the first one isn't logical at all, he's fight or flight. Janus could possibly be the first one, but I still believe that Remus fits the role more.

The second Alice. This one I had a hard time deciding between Logan and Janus. I initially thought this role fit Logan more, but ultimately decided that this one could both of them. The song speaks of the man "spreading evil slowly with his voice" This, seems much more like a something Janus would do- and nobody would think he's doing anything bad. This also seems like something Logan would do, whether intentionally or not, and Logan was a harder one to place.

The third Alice, I came to the conclusion that this one would either be Patton or Roman. Roman, although more knight like, seems as though he wouldn't be very fit to be a king (Or queen, as the song goes). Patton seems like he could be a natural leader, with the correct guidance of course. Patton also seems like he would more likely be "lost within a crazy dream" As the song put it. I chose Patton as this Alice.

The last Alice, or Alice's, the twins. There are only two Sides left, Roman and Virgil. Roman seems to fit the role as the "stubborn older sister" While Virgil would seem to fit "the clever younger brother" Role more. Virgil being the clever younger brother, because of him being 'fight or flight" Making him able to determine which situation requires what, and being anxiety would make him think through most if not all of the possible outcome of each situation. Roman being the stubborn older sister because of his stubborn nature.

This is just what I believe all the sides would be in this song. I took like 10-20 minutes thinking up the idea (not original I don't believe), and then another 25 ish minutes typing and figuring it out which side would be which Alice and figuring out the evidence or reasonings.

This is a little bit old (*cough**cough*2023) anyway, I still like it a lot and I thought it be cool to post it, IDK the context tho, sorry Janus.
